Role Summary / Purpose:

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at ZURU, you will play a central role in designing, architecting, and building scalable enterprise web applications, automation platforms, and internal tools. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end software development, lead complex technical integrations, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with product and operational teams to deliver high-performance, fault-tolerant digital systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and deploy robust, high-performance web applications and distributed architectures across front-end and back-end stacks.

Architect and implement modular RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and event-driven microservices.

Build intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces utilizing modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.

Optimize front-end rendering performance, database queries, and system throughput to handle high-concurrency traffic.

Participate in system architecture design reviews, establish coding standards, and maintain code quality through peer code reviews.

Build and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to guarantee system resiliency.

Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and cloud infrastructure engineers to take features from requirements to production deployment.

Troubleshoot production issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement proactive monitoring and logging solutions.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on professional software engineering experience across both front-end and back-end technologies in production environments.

Required Technical Skills & Competencies:

Front-End Development: Deep expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern component frameworks (such as React, Vue.js, or Next.js).

Back-End Development: Proven experience building scalable back-end services and APIs using Node.js, Python, Go, or related server-side environments.

Databases & Data Modeling: Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, Redis), including schema design and query optimization.

Cloud & DevOps Infrastructure: Practical exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker containerization, and modern CI/CD deployment pipelines.

Software Architecture: Strong foundational understanding of microservices architecture, REST/GraphQL design principles, and design patterns.

Collaboration & Problem Solving: High degree of ownership, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and clear technical communication skills.

Preferred / Good to Have:

Prior experience working on enterprise automation tools, e-commerce platforms, or supply chain systems.

Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

Exposure to message queues and event streaming platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Experience mentoring team members and driving agile sprint cadences.
