Amazon is hiring Software Development Engineers I through its Amazon University Talent Acquisition program. This opportunity is intended for 2025 and 2026 graduates who are passionate about software development and building innovative products and services.
Software Development Engineers at Amazon work on challenging technical problems and develop scalable solutions that impact millions of customers, sellers, and products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with experienced teams to design and develop innovative products and services.
• Design and build technologies in large distributed computing environments.
• Develop scalable and fault-tolerant software solutions.
• Build distributed storage, indexing, and query systems.
• Design and implement software solutions for broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous technical internship experience.
• Experience with distributed or multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
• Strong ability to communicate technical challenges and solutions.
• Ability to work with ambiguous or undefined problems and think abstractly.
