Role Summary / Purpose:

Vilambo is looking for a motivated and innovative AI Automation Engineer Intern with a strong foundation in workflow automation, AI platform integrations, and custom Large Language Models (LLMs). In this role, you will design, build, and optimize intelligent automation pipelines using tools like n8n, Make, and Zapier, while experimenting with and integrating LLMs to build scalable AI-powered products and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement end-to-end automation workflows using tools like n8n, Make (Integromat), Zapier, or Vapi.

Design, build, and integrate AI-driven solutions using Generative AI frameworks and APIs.

Train, prompt-engineer, and fine-tune custom LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face) according to business requirements.

Explore and implement LLM APIs (GPT-4, Llama, Claude) for task-specific business outcomes.

Connect webhooks, third-party APIs, and databases into automated event-driven pipelines.

Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand automation needs and provide scalable solutions.

Optimize and troubleshoot existing automation workflows to improve throughput, reliability, and speed.

Document workflows, execution logic, and integration code for easy maintenance and team scalability.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, AI/ML, or related technical disciplines (relevant project experience accepted in place of formal education).

Experience: 0 to 1 year (Open to fresh graduates, final-year students, and self-taught developers with hands-on AI automation projects).

Location Requirement: Remote role open to candidates based in India.

Required Skills & Technical Competencies:

Automation Platforms: Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms like n8n, Make (Integromat), Zapier, or Vapi.

Generative AI & LLMs: Solid understanding of Generative AI concepts, prompt engineering, and utilizing LLM APIs (OpenAI GPT-4, Meta LLaMA, Hugging Face).

API Integrations: Practical experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs, webhooks, and JSON payloads.

Programming Fundamentals: Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript for writing custom automation scripts and transformations.

Version Control: Basic familiarity with Git and GitHub for collaborative development.

Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to debug complex multi-step workflows.

Preferred / Good to Have:

Experience fine-tuning open-source LLMs or working with vector databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB, Weaviate).

Hands-on knowledge of voice AI agents (Vapi, Retell AI, Bland AI).

Understanding of AI agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI).
