Role Summary / Purpose:

As a Full Stack Developer at Chevron ENGINE, you will design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and enterprise APIs integrated with Microsoft Azure cloud services. You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implement modern software architectures, and deploy resilient digital solutions supporting mission-critical energy operations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain modern web applications, microservices, and backend APIs hosted on Microsoft Azure.

Develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces using Angular (v20+) or modern frontend frameworks.

Build, optimize, and maintain robust backend services using .NET Core 8 Web APIs and Entity Framework Core.

Write clean, secure, and maintainable code adhering to SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and MVC/REST architectural patterns.

Manage SQL database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity across relational databases.

Implement web application security best practices, identity controls, and secure data handling mechanisms.

Conduct unit testing (Angular/xUnit/NUnit) and participate actively in peer code reviews and sprint delivery cycles.

Deploy and support applications through Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Key Vault.

Leverage AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code Sonnet) to accelerate development and improve code quality.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical disciplines.

Experience: 4 to 6 years of proven professional software engineering experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong portfolio of production web applications.

Required Technical Skills & Competencies:

Frontend Development: Strong hands-on proficiency in Angular (v20+), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript. Familiarity with other frameworks (React, Vue.js, or ASP.NET Razor Pages).

Backend Development: Deep expertise in backend development using .NET Core 8, C#, ASP.NET Web APIs, and Entity Framework Core.

Cloud & Azure Services: Practical experience with Microsoft Azure platforms (Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, Azure DevOps).

Databases & APIs: Strong experience with SQL databases, complex queries, and consumption/design of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.

Software Architecture & Best Practices: Solid understanding of Design Patterns, REST, MVC, SOLID principles, and microservices architecture.

Version Control & Testing: Hands-on experience with Git version control and unit testing in Angular.

Modern AI Workflows: Working knowledge and understanding of AI-assisted engineering and development tools (e.g., Claude Code Sonnet).

Preferred / Good to Have:

Experience working with business reporting tools like Power BI.

Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible.

Exposure to other major cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).

Experience in enterprise data engineering or energy domain applications.
