Role Summary:

As a Junior Access Engineer & IAM Auditor, you will support the Information Security team in maintaining robust Identity & Access Management (IAM) controls, conducting regular access reviews, and ensuring least-privilege principles across cloud and enterprise platforms. In this role, you will help design and execute access audit workflows, detect unauthorized permissions, and collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure strict compliance with global security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the end-to-end access review and audit cycle across enterprise systems, cloud environments, and internal directories.

Monitor, audit, and analyze privileged user accounts, role assignments, service accounts, and permission lifecycles.

Assist in maintaining Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) tooling.

Maintain accurate audit runbooks, evidence repositories, and compliance documentation for technical operations.

Identify excessive permissions, stale accounts, and segregation-of-duties (SoD) conflicts, escalating anomalies to senior security engineers.

Collaborate with internal DevOps, System Administration, and Compliance teams to remediate access vulnerabilities.

Continuously refine audit procedures in response to system changes and evolving security guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience: 1 to 2+ years of relevant experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM), IT audit, access engineering, or system administration.

Communication & Languages: Intermediate or higher proficiency in spoken and written English.

Required Skills & Technical Competencies:

Cloud & Directory Services: Hands-on working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP IAM roles, permissions, service accounts, org policies) or Active Directory / LDAP.

IAM & PAM Platforms: Familiarity with IGA and PAM concepts and tools (e.g., Okta, Entra ID, Keycloak, or One Identity).

Compliance Frameworks: Foundational understanding of standard cybersecurity and compliance benchmarks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).

Analytical Skills: High attention to detail with the ability to reconcile complex user lists, access logs, and entitlement matrices.

Work Discipline: Self-driven mindset capable of managing regular operational audit cadences in a remote environment.

Preferred / Good to Have:

Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) to automate access audits and report generation.

Relevant security entry-level certifications (CompTIA Security+, SC-900, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or similar).

Exposure to fast-paced fintech, e-commerce, or high-transaction iGaming environments.
