About the Role
Deloitte USI is hiring an entry-level Quality Engineer for its Analytics Horizontal team in Hyderabad.
In this role, you will help ensure the reliability, accuracy, security, and performance of enterprise analytics solutions, including BI reports, interactive dashboards, ETL data pipelines, APIs, and emerging AI/GenAI-enabled applications.

Key Responsibilities
Test Design & Execution: Translate business requirements and acceptance criteria into structured test scenarios, test cases, and test data for analytics platforms.
Data Validation: Query and reconcile data across source and target systems to verify data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and transformation logic.
Test Automation Support: Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for APIs, user interfaces, data reconciliation, and regression suites under senior guidance.
Defect Tracking & Triage: Log, document, and track software bugs and data discrepancies using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in sprint ceremonies, release-readiness reviews, and post-production validation alongside developers and product owners.

Eligibility & Skills Required
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, or related technical disciplines.
SQL & Data Querying: Good understanding of SQL for data extraction, comparisons, joins, aggregations, and validation checks.
Data Quality Concepts: Working knowledge of core data quality pillars (accuracy, validity, completeness, uniqueness, timeliness).
Tools & Scripting: Basic proficiency in MS Excel, exposure to bug-tracking tools (Jira/Azure DevOps), and foundational knowledge of Python, C#, or JavaScript.
Testing Knowledge: Academic coursework, internship experience, or foundational testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB Foundation) are advantageous.
Communication: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
