About the Role
Bristol Myers Squibb is hiring a Software Engineer – Analytical Engineering for its state-of-the-art Science, Technology & Innovation Center in Hyderabad.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between data engineering and business analytics. You will work under the guidance of senior technical leaders to build and maintain core data models, transform raw data into business-ready datasets, and create robust data layers supporting BI platforms and AI/ML initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Data Modeling & Pipeline Development: Build, test, and maintain centralized data models and ELT pipelines to deliver structured, high-quality data products.
Code Quality & Transformation: Utilize data transformation frameworks (such as dbt) to write clean, reusable, well-documented, and tested DRY code.
Cloud & Data Architecture Support: Collaborate on AWS-based data architectures and workflows to optimize performance and pipeline runtimes.
AI/ML Data Enablement: Partner with cross-functional AI/ML and analytics teams to prepare foundational datasets for predictive modeling and automated reporting.
Agile Delivery & Governance: Follow strict data lifecycle management, quality frameworks, and Agile practices to deliver reliable data assets to business consumers.

Eligibility & Skills Required
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, Math, or Engineering.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in analytical engineering, data modeling, or data engineering.
Programming & Querying: Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Apache Spark for data extraction and data manipulation.
Data Engineering Tools: Working knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS) and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
Transformation & Version Control: Hands-on exposure to dbt (preferred/good to have) and version control tools like Git.
Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving ability with clear communication to explain data workflows to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
