About the Role
Nokia is hiring experienced Software Test Engineers to be part of building and evolving next-generation IP routers that power core internet infrastructure, modern Data Centers, and AI fabrics.
In this role, you will collaborate with top-tier engineering teams to ensure high reliability, low latency, and robust quality across Nokia’s IP routing platforms, from mission-critical service provider networks to enterprise AI-driven networks.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-End Ownership: Own software test features end-to-end and guarantee high software quality across diverse routing platforms.
* Specialization: Work closely with datacenter networking architectures and AI network fabrics.
* Test Automation: Design, build, and maintain modular, lean, and scalable automation frameworks and libraries.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work in sync with product management and software development teams to test and validate customer-specific requirements.

Eligibility & Skills Required
* Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent).
* Experience: 3 – 8 years of proven experience in networking domain and software automation.
* Domain Knowledge: Strong practical understanding in any of the following areas:
* Layer-2 switching and Layer-3 routing
* Routing Protocols: OSPF, BGP, IS-IS
* Multicast (PIM, IGMP)
* MPLS (LDP, RSVP-TE) & Segment Routing (SR-TE)
* EVPNs with VXLAN or MPLS underlays
* Quality of Service (QoS): Policers, Schedulers, and Shapers
* Automation & Scripting: Strong hands-on experience in Python, Golang, or any relevant programming language.
* Virtualization: Hands-on exposure to virtualized test environments like KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes.
* Bonus Advantage: Contributions to SONiC test infrastructure and automation frameworks.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-team communication skills.
