Role Summary:

Closet Factory of New Jersey is looking for passionate, upbeat, and motivated salespeople to join our sales team as an In-Home Sales & Design Consultant. In this role, you will meet with homeowners in their residences, evaluate and measure their spaces, and design custom organizational systems tailored to their lifestyle, storage needs, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Meet with prospective clients through pre-set, company-provided qualified leads and actively prospect for new business across New Jersey.

Conduct in-home consultations to space plan, visualize, and accurately measure organizational spaces.

Design custom storage solutions and present 3D/CAD drawings, product samples, and proposals to clients.

Close sales on-site and negotiate contract terms in a fully commissioned sales environment.

Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients to drive repeat business, positive reviews, and customer referrals.

Network effectively with local business groups, trade associations, realtors, and interior design communities.

Coordinate project details with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications:

Experience: 2+ years of successful sales or design experience.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field is a plus).

Home Improvement Background: Previous in-home sales or home improvement-related sales experience is a plus, but not required.

Coachability: Must be trainable, coachable, and open to learning our proprietary design and sales methodologies.

Transportation & Territory: Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to travel to clients within a 40–50 minute radius of your home.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Sales Acumen: Solid selling, consultation, negotiation, and closing skills with comfort working in a performance-driven, commission-based structure.

Design & Spatial Awareness: Genuine passion for interior design, space planning, and home organization; strong ability to visualize and take precise dimensional measurements.

Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and ability to learn design/CAD space planning software and lead management tools.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.

Work Ethic: Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of managing an independent client appointment schedule.
