Role Summary:

This is a business-first finance role focused on partnering with sales, project execution, and supply chain teams to understand what drives orders, margins, and cash flow. The FP&A Manager will move beyond backward-looking reporting to build driver-based financial models, assess project profitability, monitor working capital, and identify financial risks across the order-to-cash lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare annual operating budgets and monthly/quarterly rolling forecasts for AEI and AEIPL. Build driver-based financial models tied to order book milestones, delivery schedules, vendor lead times, pricing, and freight/duty costs.

Margin & Profitability Analysis: Analyze gross margins across individual projects, product lines, and customers. Factor in logistics, customs duties, warranties, and foreign exchange (FX) impacts.

Management Information Systems (MIS): Design, build, and maintain monthly MIS dashboards, Board presentations, and investor reporting packs.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Prepare 13-week rolling cash flow forecasts; track accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), inventory turnover, bank guarantee (BG) utilization, and Letter of Credit (SBLC) facility headroom.

Commercial Risk Review: Review commercial contract terms, milestone billing structures, Liquidated Damages (LDs), retention clauses, and payment counterparties to assess financial exposure.

Process Automation: Standardize and automate recurring financial reporting workflows to improve data turnaround times and accuracy.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications:

Education: MBA in Finance, CA (Inter), or Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, or business finance.

Industry Preference: Prior experience in manufacturing, EPC, power, renewable energy, or project-based, order-driven businesses is strongly preferred.

Required Skills & Technical Competencies:

Advanced Financial Modeling: High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, sensitivity analysis, scenario modeling, pivots, and dynamic forecasting).

Financial Acumen: Comprehensive understanding of the three financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and their operational interlinkages.

Accounting Systems: Hands-on familiarity with accounting and ERP platforms (such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar systems).

Commercial Acumen: Ability to translate contractual terms, shipping Incoterms, milestone billings, and FX exposure into P&L and balance sheet impacts.

Cross-Border Operations: Exposure to cross-border transfer pricing, import/export duties, and multi-currency transactions.

Communication & Teamwork: Clear ability to present complex financial concepts to non-finance project managers and executives; collaborative mindset working across US and India time zones.

Preferred / Good to Have:

Hands-on experience building interactive dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.

Direct experience handling working capital lines, Bank Guarantees, and Trade Finance instruments.
