About the Team & Program:

The DoorDash Product Design team crafts thoughtful, intuitive experiences across the entire ecosystem—from consumers ordering meals to local merchants scaling operations and Dashers completing deliveries. As an entry-level product designer starting in 2027, you will be paired with a dedicated manager and mentor, supported by a collaborative design community, and provided with full relocation assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Design intuitive, high-impact user experiences and digital product features across mobile and web interfaces.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including Product Managers (PMs), Engineers, Researchers, and fellow Designers to define problem spaces and deliver high-quality solutions.

Create prototypes quickly to test assumptions, communicate ideas, and demonstrate interactive experiences using Figma and modern AI-driven developer/design tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code).

Conduct user testing, analyze feedback, iterate rapidly, and refine design craft based on critique and data-driven insights.

Maintain and contribute to DoorDash's design system standards, patterns, and component libraries.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications:

Target Cohort: Students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an anticipated graduation date aligned with a 2027 full-time start.

Education: Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Interactive Media, or a related field (or equivalent design portfolio experience).

Internship/Work Experience: Completion of at least one previous design internship or relevant practical project experience.

Portfolio Requirement: A portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design thinking, visual craft, user research, wireframing, and interactive prototyping.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Design Tools: High proficiency in Figma for UI/UX design, wireframing, and component creation.

Prototyping & AI Workflows: Ability to build interactive prototypes using Figma and explore modern AI-assisted prototyping tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, LLM-assisted UI generation).

Problem Solving: Strong foundational understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability heuristics.

Collaboration & Communication: Ability to articulate design decisions clearly, accept constructive feedback, and iterate rapidly in a fast-paced environment.
